Red Ribbon Week 2016 Activities

Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign led by the National Family Partnership to encourage children to make the connection between healthy choices and healthy living. The NFP is a national leader in drug prevention education & advocacy. Their mission is to lead and support our nation’s families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth.  For more information about the NFP and Red Ribbon Week click here.

Staff and students at Elementary South will take part in Red Ribbon Week October 25th – 31st with the following activities:

Tuesday, October 25th   –   Red Ribbon Pledge Day:

  • I pledge to stay in school and learn the things that I need to know.
  • I pledge to make the world a better place for kids like me to grow.
  • I pledge to keep my dreams alive and be all that I can be.
  • I pledge to help others and to keep myself drug free.
Wednesday, October 26th   –   “Wear Red” Day to signify your stance against drugs and alcohol.
Thursday, October 27th   –   “Sock it” to drugs and alcohol day.  Wear crazy socks to school.
Friday, October 28th   –   “Put a Lid” on drugs and alcohol!  Wear your favorite hat to school.
Monday, October 31st   –   Say BOO to drugs! Celebrate a drug and alcohol free life with halloween festivities!
