Mrs. Dahm, a fourth-grade teacher at Elementary South, provided her class with a fun and creative way to learn about the writing process. She instructed her students to create their own creatures/monsters out of Play-Doh. Then she had them revise, edit and finalize their creatures, in the same way one drafts and polishes a writing composition. The students came up with some unique and imaginative creatures, from a unicorn mixed with a monster, to a dog mixed with a cat.
