Elementary South Volunteers are the Best!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who have so graciouly given their time and talents to help make Elementary South such a joyful environment and an outstanding place to learn.  We were happy to see so many of you at our Appreciation Tea on Wednesday, May 23rd.

Third Grade Class Creates “Wax Museum”

Ms. Reilly’s third grade class put together a class “Wax Museum” as the final project for their biography book club unit. Each student picked from a selection of Who Was? books. They read the books independently, while working on their literacy skills. Check out the pictures of the students having a blast while sharing what they learned!

Fourth Grade Participates in Stemapalooza

During the Stemapalooza event held at Elementary South on April 28th, the 4th grade classes participated in a “Parachuters” STEM activity with volunteers from ETA hand2mind.  They followed the process of imagine, plan, make, test and improve to design individual parachutes out of a variety of materials in order to safely land a small figurine.
