Students Raise Funds for AHA

Hawthorn District 73 elementary schools collectively raised more than $40,000 for the American Heart Association in its annual Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. Hawthorn Elementary South School raised $15,000 alone. Art Program Ranked #7 in State

Hawthorn Elementary South School is ranked #7 in the state out of 208 schools participating and is ranked 49 in the nation out of 2,994 schools participating. Schools are ranked on the website based on the total number of art pieces submitted, the number of fans who view the artwork, and statements students make about their artwork.
